About the Event
The Global Business Leadership in Sustainability Summit (GBLSS) is a half-day event that gathers professionals, faculty, and students to discuss key sustainability topics for business. Highlighted at this year's event are existing sustainability initiatives ongoing across the University of Connecticut and the State of Connecticut. The summit aims to create a space to build productive relationships with sustainable business partners while continuing to educate and prepare our students.
The agenda will kick off with a Fireside Chat between Dean John Elliott and Dr. Dinah Koehler on the topic, "Is ESG Sustainable?" Following sessions feature representatives from UConn, the public sector, and the corporate sector to respond to critical questions about sustainability in business. Breakout sessions will offer a variety of topics for attendees. We will conclude the afternoon with a closing session to debrief on lessons learned and highlight current UConn student initiatives. There will be a networking break between the panel sessions to allow attendees to connect.
The summit is hosted by the School of Business Global & Sustainability Initiatives Office and co-sponsored by the Business and Human Rights Initiative at UConn. This event will be hosted on March 24, 2023 in the School of Business at Storrs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
