UConn Global Business Leadership in Sustainability Summit Storrs Connecticut 2022

About the Event

The Global Business Leadership in Sustainability Summit (GBLSS) is a half-day event that gathers professionals, alumni, faculty, and students to discuss key sustainability topics for business. Highlighted at this year's event are existing sustainability initiatives ongoing across the University of Connecticut and the State of Connecticut. The summit aims to create a space to build productive relationships with sustainable business partners while continuing to educate and prepare our students.

The 2024 GBLSS agenda "The Climate Challenge and the Quantum Leap: Business, Energy, and Infrastructure", will address current issues of the energy transition and the value stream of delivering clean energy and discuss where we are in the ESG conversation. Sessions will feature representatives from UConn, the public sector, and the corporate sector to respond to critical questions from a sustainable and responsible business perspective. As in previous years, we also include a panel showcasing the work of a few young alumni making an impact in their respective industries and a session highlighting current UConn student initiatives related to sustainability. There will be a networking break between the panel sessions to allow attendees to connect.

The summit is hosted by the School of Business Global & Sustainability Initiatives Office and co-sponsored by the Business and Human Rights Initiative at UConn. This event will be hosted on Friday, March 1, 2024 in the School of Business at Storrs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m..
