Global Business Programs “by the numbers” for 2017-2018 Academic Year
- 4 Faculty awarded research grants to individuals from UConn.
- 4 Faculty awarded case study and curriculum grants from MCC, North Carolina A&M State University.
- 1 PhD students awarded dissertation support grants
- 3 MBA students awarded fellowships through the GE Global Learning Center
- 6 undergraduate students awarded Short Term Study Abroad (STSA) scholarships and wrote blogs on their experiences to share with fellow students
- 8 participants traveled to Australia for the Faculty Development in Sustainable Business Program
- 11 participants traveled to Ireland for the Faculty Development in Sustainable Business Program
- 11 students received Certificates in Export Compliance
- 43 Community College business faculty participated in the day-long seminar on internationalizing curriculum
- 48 leaders from SMEs in Connecticut participated in a 1-day workshop on export documentation offered in partnership with MCC and the U.S. Department of Commerce
- 162 students from UConn, and partner institutions MCC and SUBR, were awarded certificates from the Global Business Leadership Seminar Series by attending 3 of the 4 lectures offered by on International Business corporate executives from LEGO, FactSet, NatWest Markets, FinTech School.
- 44 undergraduate students from 10 schools and 2 countries participated in the annual CIBER International Business Case Challenge in October on the Storrs campus.
- 9 Faculty contributed to the Annual Fall International Business Poster Session hosted by CIBER and the GE Global Learning Center.
- 15 students earned certificates from the new Global Entrepreneurship Speaker Series. Speakers were from Finland, Mexico, Ireland and the U.S.
