CIBER by the Numbers for 2016-2017 Academic Year

  • 4 Faculty awarded research grants to individuals from UConn, Southern University Baton Rouge (SUBR), and Morgan State.
  • 4 Faculty awarded case study and curriculum grants from MCC, Harris-Stowe and Morgan State.
  • 2 PhD students awarded dissertation support grants
  • 3 MBA students awarded fellowships through the GE Global Learning Center
  • 3 undergraduate students awarded Short Term Study Abroad (STSA) scholarships
  • 10 participants traveled to Australia for the Faculty Development in Sustainable Business Program
  • 7 participants traveled to Ireland for the Faculty Development in Sustainable Business Program
  • 32 students and business professionals received Certificates from CIBER and Small Business Development Council (SBDC) for completing “The Riddle of the Exporter” workshop
  • 162 students from UConn, and partner institutions MCC and SUBR, were awarded certificates from the Global Business Leadership Seminar Series by attending 3 of the 4 lectures offered by on International Business corporate executives from GE Energy, FuelCell, CasMed and Photronics.
  • 40 undergraduate students from 10 schools and 2 countries participated in the annual CIBER International Business Case Challenge in October on the Storrs campus.
  • 9 Faculty participated in the Annual Fall International Business Poster Session hosted by CIBER and the GE Global Learning Center.
